Notus ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website notus.work (the "Service"), a directory for discovering and listing digital products. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Service.

- Product submissions: when you submit a product to the directory, we collect the product details you provide (name, URL, description, category, images, and your contact email if included).

1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, referring URLs, browser type, device type, and approximate location (derived from IP address).
- Cookies and similar technologies: we use cookies for essential site functionality (e.g., session/login) and for analytics via Google Analytics. See Section 6 for cookie details.
- Search and indexing data: we use Google Search Console to monitor how the Service appears in search results; this may involve crawl and performance data associated with our site.

05Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Product listings remain published until removed by the submitter or by us (e.g., for policy violations). Account data is retained until you delete your account or request deletion. Analytics data held by Google is retained according to our Google Analytics / Search Console configuration and Google's retention settings.
06Cookies and Analytics Tools
We use Google Analytics (GA) to measure and analyze how the Service is used, and Google Search Console (GSC) to monitor search indexing and performance. These tools may collect technical and usage data such as pages visited, approximate location, device/browser information, and search-related signals, in accordance with Google's terms and privacy policy.
We use:
- Essential cookies: required for login sessions and core site functionality
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): to understand aggregate usage patterns; these may set cookies or use similar identifiers on your device
Where required by law (including for EU/EEA, UK, and Swiss visitors under GDPR), we will request your consent before setting non-essential cookies such as Google Analytics cookies. 07International Data Transfers
Notus may be operated from Japan, and data may be processed or stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including outside the EEA. When we use Google Analytics or Google Search Console, data may be processed by Google in the United States or other countries. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA/UK to a country not deemed to provide adequate protection, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (including those used by Google where applicable).
08Data Sharing
We may share information with:
- Service providers under confidentiality obligations, including hosting, email delivery, and Google (for Google Analytics and Google Search Console)
- Legal authorities, where required by law or to protect our rights and users' safety
We do not share personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Google processes analytics and search-console data under its own privacy policy as an independent controller or processor, depending on the product and configuration.
