Terms of Service

01Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, if higher, e.g., some EU member states). By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

02Product Submissions

• You may submit products to the directory, provided you have the right to do so (e.g., you own the product or are authorized to list it).
• Each unique URL (by normalized domain) may generally be listed once. We reserve the right to remove duplicate or near-duplicate listings at our discretion.
• Submitted content must not be illegal, fraudulent, misleading, infringing, or harmful.
• We reserve the right to reject, edit, or remove any listing at any time, for any reason, including policy violations.

03User Accounts

If the Service offers accounts, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

04Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or spam listings
• Attempt to manipulate rankings, votes, or visibility through fraudulent means (e.g., fake accounts, bots)
• Scrape or bulk-extract data from the Service without permission
• Interfere with the security or normal operation of the Service
• Violate any applicable law, including intellectual property and data protection laws

05Intellectual Property

• The Notus name, logo, and site design are owned by us.
• Content you submit (product descriptions, images, links) remains yours, but by submitting it you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute it as part of the Service.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to any content you submit.

06Third-Party Links

The Service contains links to third-party websites and products we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site.

07Analytics and Search Tools

We use Google Analytics (GA) to measure and analyze how the Service is used, and Google Search Console (GSC) to monitor search indexing and performance. These tools may collect technical and usage data (such as pages visited, approximate location, device/browser information, and search-related signals) in accordance with Google's terms and privacy policy, and as further described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge this use.

08Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any listed product or content.

09Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or, for free use of the Service, shall be zero).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including certain consumer protections under EU/EEA law.

10Payments

Any paid features of the Service are processed through Ko-fi, a third-party payment platform. We do not collect or store your payment card details; these are handled entirely by Ko-fi under its own terms and privacy policy. Refunds, chargebacks, and payment disputes are subject to Ko-fi's policies in addition to any refund terms we state on the Service.

11Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the Service or other users.

12EU/EEA Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer residing in the EU/EEA, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection law. You may also have a right to withdraw from certain contracts within 14 days under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, where applicable to paid features of the Service.

13Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence (e.g., EU/EEA member states) provide otherwise. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts having jurisdiction over our principal place of business in Japan, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

14Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date above.
